Dale's Story

The current chapter in my life of fitness started April of 2010 when I woke up one morning and realized I was at the most unhealthy weight and body fat of my life.  I was destroying my body every minute of the day with large obscene amounts of sugar. Eating fast-food multiple times a day and smoking just fewer than two packs a day. I started going to UA was sold a training package and started hitting the gym 3 to 4 days a week in an effort to obtain a better looking physique. Some of this might sound familiar to most people a list of self destructing habits thinking the gym alone would make the difference.  I made progress little chunks at a time went through four trainers over 4 months and quit using them none of them where able to challenge me at the level I needed to be challenged. Until one day I met this one trainer that blew my mind away. By the time I started training with JD I had kicked the continuous fast-food, and the 6 pack a day of Mt. Dew, however; the smoking was still an issue I cut back to less than a pack a day just could not kick that habit. I did finally kick the habit of smoking; I have been smoke free for over a year and feel healthier for it.
Over the past year and half I have had some setbacks in obtaining my goals, JD has been there to help refocus the direction I needed to get back on track. Since training with JD and Brian at Crossfit Y’all I have become faster and stronger in many aspects, I have seen changes and improvements in mobility and movements from day to day. I have realized some of what my coaches have seen in me and the raw potential I have to be a better athlete.
The areas I struggle the most with is my daily eating habits. I am constantly fighting to improve my habits. With the help of JD and Brain changing my lifestyle and diet to fit my personal needs starts by letting them into my diet. Accepting responsibility of what I put into my body is vital, knowing the better and healthier I eat the better my body will react.
This is not only a testimonial, it is also a pledge to my coaches that I will do my best daily while training, along with providing feedback to help them to help make me better.
